Magnolia Down Under #69 - All Aboard!

This week over at Magnolia Down Under Challenges we are asking you to create a Travel Themed project. I had no idea where to start - should I go with one of my Asian Tildas or Sailor Edwin or one of my Tildas with the suitcases???? And then what colours, layout etc- I was just in a bit of a design slump - my mojo left at the first sign of my sniffles so it too wouldn't catch a cold : (

In the end I resorted to a sketch to get me started - I used my own from last week's challenge - it was sooo much fun to see what everyone else did with it that I thought I'd give it a go myself - LOL. I also used a brand new paper pad I bought last week - it was just MADE for the challenge - it's Up, Up and Away by Kaisercraft.

I think this is one of the first cards I've ever made that I set the design and colours BEFORE I chose and coloured up my Tilda - LOL. I think I may just have to do it again - I'm quite happy with the result!!!

Hope you guys can join in too - it's going to be sooooo much fun travelling the world in front of my laptop while checking out the entries! And don't forget to pop over to the MDUC blog HERE to see the rest of the amazing DTs work - I tell ya these gals are one talented bunch!!!

xXx

Debbie, your card is gorgeous, this is one of my favourites from the Bon Voyage collection. The papers are super & I love your colours & sketch. I too colour up my images & then try to find matching paper, I know it us best to do the other way around but I struggle, will have to try it again & your fab sketch too. Have a great weekend . Hi Debbie, so glad I stopped by and read your post I was fretting about not having a little Tilda with a suitcase not even thinking of the sailors or Asian etc.. so thanks :)
It's interesting to read about how others go about making their cards; I always make the card and then find an image and colour it to suit! Your cards are beautiful - no matter what order you make them in!!
